New Page!

Hi There Oliver

Now that we've successfully moved onto A2, so does the adventure of coursework. I have created a tab to collate information regarding your personal question regarding:

How are lead female characters represented in science fiction films such as Star Trek Beyond and Doctor Who's The Day of the Doctor and why does this representation play such a central role within the narrative?

I hope you can find a use to place links, articles, videos etc there and use it for handy congregation of data.

Can't wait to see your final product!

Blog Update

Hey there Oliver or anyone else who's reading this. Just a quick update to say i've updated sections of the blog after realising, in English Language, that none of us have even touched these for months! So a quick break down; here are the following pages that have been edited:

  • Revision
  • Film Club
  • Presentations
  • New Coursework Page
Short and sweet as you can see, the Revision page has been updated with a new Quizlet quiz on audiences. The Film club has been updated with the most modern films & WITH the trailers. Registers and such to come soon as you know how much you like to keep thingsorganised for D of E. and the presentations tab has been hid cause, cmon mate, no one uses it.

Lastly a new addition, all currently completed coursework has been displayed on a new page for easeif Mrs Stannard wants to view it or if it is needed for an example at any stage, or if you wanted to show it off later in life OR you just wanted to look back on your amazing work in a years time. Wallah.

So that's all there is to this update. I currently need to go to bed, and you probably need to keep being awesome. Oh and study. Yeah that's right. I'm like a nagging mother. What's become of your life.

Anyway, signing off.
Oliver

Revision Page

A new Page has been added at the top to aid in Revision.

At the moment only revision Cards, tests, and learning games are available through Quizlet, but hopefully more material will be coming through soon, once found.

Material includes, keywords from Chapter 1 of the revision book and other key words such as camera movements and angles.

Continue to enjoy A-Level Media! :D

One of them not-so-fancy Introduction Posts.

Howdy there Oliver or anybody else who might be reading this. Welcome to Oliver's Journal of Media, kindly created courtesy of Elizabeth Standard nagging my Conscious over the summer holiday's to create a blog to handily place any information of media he might learn over the course of his A-Level at Cowes Enterprise College.

Obviously, i'm going to try and make this as fun and entertaining to keep myself interested and enthused throughout the course as, let's face it, A-level will crush any hopes and dreams you may have had. Luckily this will hopefully be avoided by the use of colour and font and hilarious images I hope to continue to find on the internet. What a beautiful world we live in where we can find millions of pixels collated to form an image of a cat wearing a top hat and monocle. Though let's face it no colour could ever top black. Maybe blue, this is a debate I can have with myself at a future date.

As you can probably tell by now i'm rambling to keep my interest high after starting this blog on the 20th of August 2015, or as DAR called it 'No Regrets Day'. (It kinda sounds like John Hurt proclaiming "NO MORE" In The Day of The Doctor.) Anyway, regrets day is also formally known as results day for GCSE's in which I got a pretty decent set of results with 1 A*, 1 A - Media., 5 B's and 3 C's. Not bad eh? Not bad.
Thanks Bun. I should probably wrap up this first text post as there isn't any actual media content on it, just some waffle and ramblings, still I've GOT to fiddle around with the settings and appearance of the new blog, how could I resist.

Past Oliver signing out. Good Luck Dude. ;)

P.S Nostalgia right?
